I’m starting to cross Bahia Vizcaino now. It’s been a sloooow day sailing. I think I hit maybe 4 knots max a couple times, except when motoring. Mostly stayed in the 3’s and sometimes 2’s. I only flipped on the motor if sailing was not an option. The forecast called for more wind in the evening, and it seems to be accurate. It’s blowing about 15 now, directly toward Benitos, calling for 20 around midnight. The sun is down, tricolored light is lit, double reef in main and full jib out. I will jybe throughout the night so I stay roughly on course and don’t have to sail directly downwind.
Heating up some chili now that I made last night for the trip. It’s overcast and a little cool tonight, so chili sounds like the perfect meal! Time to eat!
